Our Vision
Our goal is to provide excellent services and products of high value to our customers. Building on
- competence in 3D technology,
- on our research,
- on dynamically progressing base technologies.
We design solutions, assist our partners in finding solutions and offer high quality software products.
Our Core Competence
Data management and visualization of massive 3D models, surface mesh analysis and object recognition is our core competence. Our data management of massive 3D models allows considering comprehensive 3D models of the human body as a single entity and avoids the necessity of splitting the model into smaller, easier manageable units. Our intuitive user interfaces emphasize more on visual presentation, interaction and visual controls than on functional controls like buttons and menus.
Our Innovation
Having the reputation of being an innovation expert in the medical visualization
industry we have set directions and trends. We consider new and emerging technologies as a challenge, actively research and find solutions not being covered by 3D graphics mainstream industries.
Milestones of innovation:
- In the early 2000’s we have developed the 3D Multi-Windows user interface for simultaneous display of up to hundreds of 3D windows. Although, this technology could not be applied at that time due to PC performance and stability of the PC graphics environment, it is part of all our newest products. 3D Multi-Windows provides the base for dissecting, part picking and auto-navigation, even if the full 3D model comprises thousands of parts.
- Contrary to 2D image visualization, when it comes to visualization of 3D objects, it is essential from what perspective you look and at what section of the object you look. Consequently, we have dropped the commonly prevailing paradigm of document-centric or model-centric or object-oriented visualization and have made our human interfaces view-centric.
- Very early, we have consequently applied auto-colorization and color coding techniques to improve perception and recognition of spatial interrelationship between complex structures. At present, sophisticated, automatic color coding techniques are applied and have become the visual trademark of our training products.
- When 3D vector graphics has been a young emerging technology, we were one of the first who has consequently applied it and combined it with volumetric data visualization.
- A web3D-based demonstration of an interactive heart model was displayed on our website in 1997. The four chambers of the model had been based on servers in different continents. Today visualization of distributed data has become a standard technique.
