Human Anatomy training Products
Since late 18th century medical personal has been trained using human anatomy models originally made from wax, later on replaced by industrially manufactured plastics models.
The typewriter was invented about 100 years later. It was in use for hardly more than a century, until desktop publishing finally replaced it. While computerized visualization can offer so many more ways to present written words, desktop publishing adds images, moving images and interaction processes to sole text printing capability of the type writer.
We have been investigating, why modern information and visualization technology could not offer a real alternative to anatomical plastics models, despite the availability of high quality models of the human body and despite numerous amazing success stories in other sectors of computerized visualization.
Research projects have been initiated and we have developed our core competence in processing and visualization of massive 3D models. The original BoneLab program has become the foundation for the latest Platform II products. Our software allows 3-dimensional exploration and interaction based on high-volume 3D human body models.
Why software and 3d Models instead of plastics models and charts?
With our software, dissection and reassembly of 3D models is at least as easy as for plastics models. 3D models cannot break and do not need storage space and do not require a dust cover. More important is that advanced computer technology can provide new ways of interaction, resulting in a more efficient and more exciting learning process in a shorter time.
While we offer solutions for in-depth learning at the academic level and training of healthcare related professionals, we also offer products for secondary school level education.
User specific addition of information makes our products well suitable for presentation, self study, distance learning and documentation of injuries. For non-medical professionals and patients our software products represent a powerful volume of reference for anatomical content.
Our training software is used by various groups of professionals
